My favourite kitchen hack EVER!

Updated: Mar 23, 2022

Are you tired of hearing you cabinet doors slam shut? Wish you could change your hinges to make them all soft close? What if I told you that you could do it without replacing your hinges! 2 words: Hinge Damper!

Here is the magical little attachment!

There are many different products online but the ones that I have used and highly recommend are the Blum door hinge dampers. This is not a sponsored post. I truly love this product and want to share it with you guys!

All you have to do is clip them on your hinges and problem solved!

ITS THAT EASY!

I wanted to go over a few important things with you guys:

  • When ordering your hinge dampers make sure you order the right ones for your hinges. I have full overlay hinges so I ordered the attachments for those. Here is a photo to help you determine what type of hinges you have.

  • Standard height cabinet doors have 2 hinges per door and extended cabinet doors have 3 hinges per door. I Have standard height ones and only use one damper per door. They work just fine and you'll only need half the amount this way which saves you $$$. If you have extended cabinets, I'd recommend adding a damper on the top and bottom hinge but the middle hinge won't need one. Here is an illustration to show you how they work.

Ok guys, as promised I have a list of links for you (both Canada and USA). Note these links are for the product that works with Blum hinges. You may need a different brand depending on your hinges.

HOME DEPOT-CANADA
